PostSubject: The Canadian National Anthem   Wed 17 Mar 2010, 12:00 pm

I read the government wants to change the Canadian anthem to make it more "gender-neutral" but I say no, no to the change. Our anthem has been the same since 1800's (even though it wasn't in English till 1906) It does not need to be changed, how would you like it if your anthem, the song of your country, was changed. Our song and our flag is the symbol of our nation and if they change it then they are not Canadian, they are cowards. (If they think of changing our flag, I will be pissed off)

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
