Darkness vs Sound

They arrived at the dinner hall and Eric took a seat. Heather brought them there plates of roast and potatoes, "Hello there and who are you?" She asked. "Eric." he said and took a bite of food.

Trira sat down in front of Eric. "Hi Heather.", Trira said to the cook. Then she took a piece of the food. "Some time you have to teach me how to cook.", she said to her. Then she looked to Eric. "How do you like it?", she asked her.

"Mmm" He said as he smiled. Heather laughed, "That is one of best complements I got and I will be happy to teach you Trira."

Trira smiled. "But do not think that my first tryings in cooking will be good.", she said to Heather. Then she ate the rest of the meal. "I only need time. I have to learn wind, fire and cooking. Wow.", she said. Then she laughed.

"There is healing too." Eric pointed out, "I heard that someone named Luke is a novice healer. Karma mentioned it."

"Alice promised to teach me healing.", Trira said to Eric. "And for healing with plants I have Goru and my knowledge.", she explained. "But thank you for telling me." Trira streached out a little bit. "When I think that my adventure began at a meal like that.", she began, but not finished the sentence.

"Did you know Goru was a healer on Everland?" Eric said as he leaned forward, "He worked for a king till they found out he was a Guardian and then..." Eric stopped there, he looked out a window, "My father told me that, also I know where a base is on Everland."

"Everland?", Trira asked. She had only read one time of this land, but never really heared something of it. All she know is that Guardians are not welcomed there. She also never really interested in this theme.

"Yeah, I went there once." Eric said looking back to her, "I like the fruit there."

Trira gasped. "You were there? But why?", she asked. She thought that the people in Everland not only hate guardians, but all people with any power. She did not really heared the thing about the fruit Eric had said. "Were you in great danger?", she asked further.

Eric didn't want to worry her, "No, not at all. I when there for...a trip to see what the land looked like." He lied. Eric looked out a window again.

Trira knew that Eric was lying. Nobody would went there only to find out how the land look like. But she did not asked further. She thought that he might have his reasons why he did not told her everything. "Should we look if your room is finished by now?", Trira asked Eric, only to change the topic.

"Yeah, yeah we should." he smiled and stood up. He went to the dinning room door and opened it, "Ladies 1st." He said.

"Thank you.", Trira said, smiling. Then she lead Eric through the corridors to the students rooms. She was not sure if he would have his room there, but she hoped that. She looked for any of the guardians. "I think we will find soon someone who can help us.", she said to Eric.

Smack, Trira ran into Copper, Eric caught Trira before she fell down but Copper fell on his butt, "In a hurry, are we." He said as he stood up.

With the help of Eric, Trira got on her feet. "I am so sorry.", Trira said to the person she ran into. "We are searching for his room.", Trira said and pointed to Eric. "Oh, I have forgotten to tell you who we are. I am Trira and this is Eric.", she said, streching out her hand.

Copper stood up and shook her hand, "I am Copper Ever but call me Copper." He looked to Eric, "I have been working on a room, I guess it's your. Come take a look."

Trira took Erics hand and followed Copper. "I have not seen you yet. What power do you have?", she asked very interested.

"Metal, I'm a metal guardian. I can control iron, steel, gold, silver, and copper. It is very useful in 1st aid too." They turned down a hall and went up some stairs, "What powers do you two have?" Copper asked walking backwards to look at them. "Sound." Eric said.

"I have wind and fire.", Trira responded. She felt silent. Trira wanted to know why Copper had not been in the hall when she met many of the guardians. But she thought it would not be right. So she said nothing.

"So you are Scarlet's and Alice's students, they are very nice ladies." He said turning back around, "They are both Queens and they are best friends. Did you know before they were born, there was a war between the land of fire and the land of water? Scarlet and Alice run from there homes and hid in the land of earth's forest. They did that for months and they demanded the war to end, they being the lands only heirs they ended the war."

"Wow. I would never have thought they would do something like that.", Trira said fascinated. She had known that both were queens and also friends, but that had been all.

"You'd be surprise to what I know, I am hired by Brianne to gather info on people outside the tower, I just happen to come across that." Finely they came to his room, "Here we are, it is simple but livable." There was a bed with blue sheets and a large oak closet. Paintings hung on two of the walls and there was a door that lead to an outside balcony to over look the view. Eric opened the door to see the view and smiled, "It's perfect, I am not much for the large fancy rooms." He turned to Trira, "Come take a look. The view is cool." he said as he smiled.

Trira walked to Eric. "Your view is better then my. That is not fair.", she said when she stood next to him. It was not right, but she wanted to make a little joke.

Eric laughed, "Aw poor Trira." He said as he ruffed her hair.
